We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Plant Engineer to join a Client engineering team. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems within a pharma manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will lead E&I engineering projects, oversee troubleshooting and preventive maintenance programs, and work closely with the plant's operations team to ensure the highest safety and performance standards. Responsibilities Lead and manage E&I engineering activities in the plant, including new installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance Oversee the development and implementation of E&I engineering solutions to improve plant reliability, performance, and safety Lead the design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing electrical and instrumentation systems to enhance plant efficiency and reduce downtime Manage E&I-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and identify and mitigate any risks or challenges Prepare technical specifications, bid packages, and assist in contractor selection and vendor management Supervise the implementation of preventive maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation equipment Respond to plant electrical and instrumentation issues, diagnose faults, and provide effective solutions Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is conducted in compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, NEC, IEC) Lead root cause analysis for any safety or reliability incidents involving electrical or instrumentation systems Promote and enforce best practices in safety, ensuring that electrical and instrumentation systems are operated in a safe and environmentally responsible manner Prepare reports for plant management on the performance of electrical and instrumentation systems, including failure rates, maintenance activities, and improvement projects Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. A Master's Degree or professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE) is a plus Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role within a plant or industrial environment, ideally in a GMP industry Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems (PLC, DCS), and instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, etc.) Experience with SCADA systems, automation, and digital control Strong leadership skills with experience in managing multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. #LI-AM2
