GoQuest, an indoor adventure venue is looking for an Assistant Venue Manager (AVM) to join their team.
This would suit someone who wants a customer service role or has an interest in the leisure or recreation sector.
Would also suit a candidate with retail or hotel experience in an operations role.

This is a full time permanent position but will be subject to a 6 month probation period as is the norm.

Summary: The AVM is a key customer service role in our busy entertainment venue.
The is an important operational positions in the venue and carries with it a high level of responsibility but is rewarding and has potential for promotion.
The position will report to the Venue Manager.
The AVM will have the responsibility of ensuring that the highest standards in operational matters continues to be achieved at GoQuest Carrickmines and that the GoQuest brand maintains its excellent reputation.
In particular the role requires the following, though this is not a definite list of duties: Coordinating Groups & Activities Ensuring the best customer experience possible.
Overseeing daily operations at GoQuest Carrickmines.
Guaranteeing consistent delivery of established procedures and processes.
Conducting regular health & safety checks, including challenge assessments and fire drills.
Holding weekly operational meetings with the Venue Manager and MD.
Collaborating with the Venue Manager and staff to uphold high standards.
Assisting in staff management and training.
Addressing customer concerns promptly.
Managing bookings with attention to detail.
Overseeing stock levels and ordering for the café and merchandise.
Handling miscellaneous tasks like parking, temperature control, waste management, fire escapes, and regular cleanliness inspections.
The successful candidate will likely have the following: Comfortable managing large groups and tight schedules on busy days.
Prior supervisory, management, or operational experience preferred.
Suitable for those with hotel, retail, or leisure/event management experience (not essential).
First Aid, Fire Safety, or similar certifications a plus (can be completed during work hours).
Strong customer service skills.
Experience in process-driven operations and following procedures.
A passion for making people happy with a friendly, positive attitude.
