The Position
We wish to recruit a Tax Consultant (GES) to join our diverse and progressive tax team. to join our diverse and progressive tax team. The ideal candidate will be working in global mobility and will be experienced advising businesses on the payroll and related tax consequences arising from employee global mobility. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, will be skilled at efficiently managing a diverse range of assignments and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the management of a portfolio of GES Clients.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing a high standard of client service.
3. Coordinating and working with other member firms on cross-border projects.
4. Working closing with Partners and senior management in the delivery of GES compliance and consulting services.
5. Coaching and mentoring Tax Associates, including presenting in-house tax training courses.
6. Co-ordination Irish payroll advice and international payroll tax advice
7. Liaising with clients in a timely efficient manner, advising, researching, and resolving all relevant tax issues and technical matters on advisory assignments.
8. Advising on SARP relief and transborder relief
9. Advising on taxation of share-based remuneration
10. Managing home and host country tax briefings for employees including high net worth individuals; overseeing shadow payroll and tax equalisation work.
11. Contributing to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff.
12. Commercial management of a portfolio of clients.
13. Contributing to the operational management of the tax division and taking responsibility for specific areas as required.
Ideal Candidate
14. ITI and/or ACA or ACCA qualified.
15. Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.
16. Demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
17. Strong technical skills to deliver GES tax advisory services.
18. Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
19. Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills.
20. Strong Microsoft applications skills; Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
