At Small Talk & Big Talk, we pride ourselves on achieving a positive, warm, and inclusive culture that supports all children and their families in our setting. As a member of staff, you are expected at all times to provide a safe, positive, and healthy environment whilst encouraging the education and growth of each individual child.
Your duties will include:
1. Working alongside your colleagues to care for children in the classrooms/garden.
2. Carrying out collections from other schools/preschools.
3. Feeding/serving dinners or snacks.
4. Encouraging sleep time, nappy changing, and toileting when required.
5. Contributing to the planning of the curriculum and activities.
6. Completing observations on children and reflecting on your practice.
Full training will be provided to participate in these duties.
You will be expected to work as part of a team and liaise with other members of staff to maintain our high standards of care. Your responsibilities will also include:
1. Collaborating with parents/guardians and keeping them informed of daily activities.
2. Involving parents in the planning process of their child/ren’s learning journey.
3. Being courteous, friendly, and polite to everyone attending our setting.
As Early Childhood Educators, it is our responsibility to provide each child with positive experiences and holistic growth in all areas of their development. Staff are expected to spend the majority of their time playing with, talking to, supporting, and engaging with the children in our care, putting them first at all times, role-modelling positive interactions/behaviour, and scaffolding children’s learning where necessary.
You will also be required to assist in maintaining the setting with reference to necessary records/documents such as Attendance records, Accident/Incident reports, and Observation reports where necessary.
All employees are jointly responsible for cleaning their work areas, classrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens at the end of each day.

Pay: From €13.65 per hour
