About the Position
This role will ensure mitigation of indemnity and expense exposure while communicating developments and outcomes as necessary to all key internal and external stakeholders and provide a high standard of customer service and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing key claims handling enquiry; coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment, where appropriate within authority limits and providing a high standard of customer service.
2. Work with Team Manager ensuring effective vendor and litigation management on Complex claims within a personal allocation.
3. Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance Review processes.
4. Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for Bodily Injury Complex claims, consistent with global best practice.
5. Demonstrate an excellent standard of technical claims competence for handling moderate to severe complex claims.
6. Handle complex claims allocated within agreed level of authority limit.
7. Timely, accurate and customer focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense.
8. Effective communication of key Complex claims and Bodily Injury Claims portfolio messages to internal stakeholders.
9. Financial control through consistent reserve and other financial transaction discipline.
10. Accurate and consistent policy interpretation.
Experience/Requirements
11. Specialist knowledge in Motor– Bodily Injury technical claims topics.
12. A strong knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for their line of business.
13. Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
14. Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement.
15. Personal Lines claims handling. Road Traffic Accidents / Auto Liability, Bodily Injury claims.
16. Adjusting experience.
17. Must have a formal insurance qualification and must meet Central Bank of Ireland minimum competency standards for Claims adjusting.
18. Excellent organizations skills with the ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
19. Ability to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy.
20. Ability to offer prompt technical and service excellence.
21. Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Remuneration Package
Salary up to €43,000 plus benefits.
