Now one company, we are stronger together, innovating for customers & partners to support them on their once-in-a-generation quest to redefine the way work gets done.We are looking for highly skilled Embedded Engineers that create and design our next generation of video conferencing solutions.Responsibilities for the Staff Video Embedded EngineerCreate innovative new features for our Next Generation video endpoints and conferencing solutions.Design and build unique capabilities to expand our Android platform.Work in a very collaborative and agile team to build cool solutions.Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and developmentReviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure riskProvides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activitiesDrives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organizationProvides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff membersKnowledge & Skills required for the Staff Video Embedded EngineerAdvanced technical knowledge of complex software systems, including enterprise, middleware, firmware, and embedded systemsStrong experience in software development, systems engineering, or software product management. or electrical engineeringKnowledge of root cause analysis and problem detectionExtensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages, C/C++Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in the overall architecture of software systems for products and solutionsDesigning and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into the overall architectureExcellent communication, passion for learning and attention to detail are key to the roleExperience in low-level embedded OS or Android OS is beneficial Experience in Real Time OS development is beneficial Knowledge of Android HAL or Linux OS is beneficial Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levelsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence.
