We are seeking a veteran Electrical Engineer to join a prestigious M&E Design Consultancy who specialise in Data Centre, Commercial & Sustainability projects. About the Role: This management role requires a self-motivated and analytical professional with a proven track record in electrical engineering and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams, reviewing technical designs, optimising project functionality and costs, and ensuring strong collaboration between electrical and mechanical disciplines. Additionally, you will provide strategic input on emerging industry trends and contribute to business development efforts. This role offers a hybrid remote arrangement, with attendance at the Dublin office as required. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the design, scope, and functionality of electrical engineering projects. Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring efficient collaboration between electrical and mechanical teams. Implement and maintain QA and QC standards, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality. Monitor project costs and drive innovations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses. Manage resource allocation, including outsourcing where necessary. Interpret and work within contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance. Stay updated on emerging industry trends and technologies and liaise with senior management on their implementation. Contribute to business development, including client engagement and securing new projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and industry partners. Represent the engineering team within the wider organisation, contributing to the development of Quality Assurance procedures. Oversee the delivery of multiple large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and performance targets. Conduct team development activities, including monthly one-on-one meetings, training, and performance management. Ensure team members are equipped with knowledge of emerging technologies to enhance project execution. Requirements: 10+ years of expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in data centres, industrial/high-tech, or commercial sectors. 3+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and engineers. 3+ years of project management experience, overseeing both electrical and mechanical engineering projects. Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation.
