Position: Senior / Principal Clinical Psychologist Location: Hybrid (Cork-based) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent,Contract We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior or Principal Clinical Psychologist to join and lead a forward-thinking service specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in building a multidisciplinary team (MDT), while maintaining clinical autonomy and a hybrid working model based in Cork.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of a dedicated Autism-focused multidisciplinary team (Psychologists, OTs, SLTs, and Assistant Psychologists).
Conduct and supervise comprehensive ASD assessments in line with international best practices.
Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to team members and junior psychologists.
Ensure quality and consistency in diagnostic formulation, report writing, and communication of outcomes.
Deliver post-diagnostic support to individuals and families, including psychoeducation, consultation, and therapeutic input.
Collaborate on service design, innovation, and development, ensuring alignment with ethical and professional standards.
Contribute to building a compassionate, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming service model.
Essential Criteria: Doctoral or Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology (NFQ Level 9 or higher).
Registered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in clinical psychology.
Proven expertise in Autism assessment, including the use of standardised tools (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R).
Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and/or service development.
Excellent clinical judgement, interpersonal skills, and commitment to high-quality care.
Strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
Compassionate and neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Desirable: Previous experience in private practice or setting up clinical services.
Familiarity with multidisciplinary collaboration and integrated autism pathways.
Experience working in partnership with families, schools, or health agencies.
What We Offer: Salary range: €110,000 €130,000, depending on experience.
