Financial Controller
A leading not-for-profit organisation based in Cork is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team.
This is a permanent role, with the possibility of considering candidates for an interim position if they are available for an immediate start.
Purpose of Role
The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in managing finance operations and delivering strategic goals for the organisation.
As leader of the Finance team, the role requires consistent high-quality standards while managing a diverse team to achieve the charity's strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will ensure adherence to robust accounting policies and procedures, ensuring accountability and transparency over the spending of the charity's funds.
They will also be responsible for overseeing high-quality back-office support driven by critical KPIs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the development of long-term financial strategies.
* Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Driving a continuous improvement culture within the Finance department.
* Analyzing financial data and providing insights to inform strategic decision-making.
* Managing and developing a high-performing Finance team.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting and regulatory standards.
* Managing and overseeing the audit process.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A qualified accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, CPA, CIMA).
* No less than 8 years of relevant experience.
* Proven experience in financial management and leadership roles.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
