Our client is seeking to expand their Engineering team to co-ordinate and deliver capital works across Dublin and other plants. These works include plant upgrades, retrofit works, and capital replacement.
The Project Engineer will focus on the co-ordination of design information and site works performed by in-house and third-party contractors. This will include working with multi-disciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, process, and electrical/ICA engineers/contractors.
The Project Engineer will be based in our client's Engineering office in South Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinating with PSCS, PSDP, Client, and other stakeholders.
2. Performing the duties required for the Project Co-Ordinator for the Construction Stage.
3. Site supervision & management of in-house and external contractors.
4. Coordinate responses to Client requests for technical information.
5. Production of documentation, including reports, drawings, and calculations.
6. Production of project budgets and programs.
7. Provide input to bids and project manage appropriate projects.
Requirements:
1. Potential candidates MUST be qualified with an Engineering degree.
2. MUST be fluent in English.
3. 3 years experience in a similar role or similar environment.
4. Experience of design at all levels from feasibility to a 'for construction' level.
5. Considerable technical knowledge of all aspects of design as it impacts technical, budgetary, and programming issues.
6. Practical experience in coordinating site activities.
7. Practical Health & Safety experience in both site activities and design assessment.
8. Good communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate site activities.
10. The ability to command respect and create a sense of community amongst project team members (essential).
11. Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling projects (essential).
12. Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects (essential).
13. The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems (essential).
Package:
