With 4000 employees worldwide, this manufacturing multinational company has a 40-person Finance team in Galway comprising of Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Operations, Tax, Corporate Finance, and Payroll. Many employees who join as a Financial Accountant go on to work in a specialist area of choice within 1-2 years.
* Majority of the Finance Managers and Senior Finance Managers have started as Financial Accountants and were then promoted after 1-2 years.
* Many of the Directors also have started as Managers.

Key Responsibilities
You will manage a number of EMEA based entities that have significant outgoing costs under headings such as inventory, labour, raw materials, CAPEX, and incoming revenue giving you exposure to the P&L and Balance Sheet.
* Complete financial reporting monthly.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements annually under IFRS that are of medium to high complexity.
* Prepare and post journals to the general ledger.
* Provide commentary on variances between the balance sheet and balances on other systems and accounts.
There is a quarterly process improvement review of procedures and systems where you will work as part of project teams to drive improvements. This manufacturing giant is growing through acquisitions and you will assist in onboarding newly acquired companies into this company's processes and procedures.

Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) from Big 4 with 1-3 years PQE in a multinational company.
