Summary of the role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Capability and Solutioning Leader to join our dynamic team providing services to the insurance industry. As a Capability and Solutioning Leader, you will play a crucial role in understanding our clients' business needs and leveraging our suite of services, products, and solutions to provide tailored and integrated solutions. You will collaborate closely with our sales, account management, digital solutions, operations & transitions, and data and analytics teams to build seamless narrative to outlay EXL’s capabilities and solutions in response to client business problems. You will also proactively support sole sourced opportunities with our growth leaders, taking our domain specific capabilities to the market.
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
Support the Insurance Solutioning specific OKRs aligned with our Insurance business unit’s growth strategy.
Lead as a deal/pursuit owner, the end-to-end RFP/ RFI process in the Insurance Vertical (Auto, Home, Specialty, Worker’s Compensation, Commercial auto & home, Broker Management, etc.)
Thoroughly analyze artifacts shared by the clients and account manager / sales team to identify and understand their specific requirements. Translate client needs into comprehensive solution proposals that align with our products and services. Build, assess and summarize all data created as part of the business problem understanding to develop key actionable insights and build a benefit case as needed.
Lead the end-to-end solution presentation and other collateral development as part of the RFx management process in the Insurance Vertical (Auto, Home, Specialty, Commercial auto & home, Worker’s Compensation, Broker Management, etc.). Build the narrative of what the solution should entail, integrating multiple EXL capabilities to present a simplified storyline highlighting client’s business problem and key outcomes.
Support Go-to-Market in the Insurance domain; Scan the industry value chain, identify Business Development opportunities across the value chain, build solutions framework (including digital automated solutions) to address these opportunities.
Building reactive capability to improve existing solutions for clients.
Manage, mentor, performance manage the team of direct and indirect solutioning team members & develop talent
Client meetings/presentations (Orals, Prospecting, Demonstration of POC solutions)
Maintain a deep understanding of various Auto, Home, Specialty, Commercial and their operational nuances through secondary research and conversation with industry experts, clients, and subject matter experts.
Deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our solutions. Tailor presentations to the audience's needs and concerns.
Create structured and comprehensive documentation of solution documents, RFx responses, case study preparation and demos that are easy to access and understand.
Leading due diligence exercise, if required.
Mentoring, training and development of the next generation of our solutioning leaders
Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:
Experience with leading and implementing business process and technology change in the general/P&C insurance industry, gained in industry, professional services or a combination of both
Experience in US-based insurance companies and markets is especially of interest
12-15 years or experience (in Insurance BPM preferably in P&C Personal lines Commercial lines and Specialty) in at least three of the following areas:
Data management analytics
Strategic consulting
Digital transformation
Solution design
Pre-sales and bid management.
Account Management
Opportunity assessment
Insurance operations leadership
Skills and Personal attributes we would like to have:
Ability to create compelling solution constructs and commercial models with the right win themes.
Deep understanding of Insurance value chain and business processes with exposure to commercial modelling
Strong business writing skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to orchestrate appropriate end-to-end solutions.
Co-ordination and program management skills to interface with various internal stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
Proven record of publishing industry specific POV’s through thorough research
Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent timelines.
Highly proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
Willingness to travel, mainly to US, for client meetings and presentations.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to achieve desired output within deadlines.
Ability to prioritize and demonstrate flexibility to meet critical and time sensitive deliverables.
