Infrastructure Architect - €650 Per Day A large Irish Semi-State organisation with responsibility for Financial services requires an Infrastructure Architect to join their IT Operations team.
The Infrastructure Architect will work on a number of projects to enhance or replace technologies.
The contractor would be required to work concurrently with different project teams to deliver designs and assist with the planning and execution of technology uplifts.
This role is initially offered on a 12 month basis but there is a strong possibility of it being extended well beyond this time frame.
Attendance of the role is on a Hybrid basis, with the successful candidates required onsite 2 and very occasionally 3 days per week at an easily accessible location in Dublin City Centre, With a dynamic working environment, generous renumeration rates and a project using highly relevant technologies, this is a great opportunity for ambitious Infrastructure Architects looking to further their experience on a an enterprise level Government project.
Responsibilities of Role 1. internal project manager(s), stakeholders and line managers to shape infrastructure solution; 2.
Lead, or where relevant, co-ordinate with 3rd parties to deliver technology designs and develop supporting technical design documentation in line with the scope of the project and agreed architectural strategies ( 3.
Build and maintain relationships with Technology team members, project stakeholders, key 3rd party suppliers and other relevant Information Management and Technology Directorate (IMTD) personnel; 4.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor(s) so that they deliver strong performance in line with project, design and contractual commitments 5.
Ensure all technical solutions and service(s) are delivered in a quality and timely manner, Ensuring that any changes/releases of solutions and designs are made in alignment with the Organisational Change Management process 6.
Due diligence on all aspects of security, service delivery and technological quality assurance in order to ensure business solutions bring real value to the organisation 7.
Work with Project Managers on developing key task input for project plans.

Help identify and implement opportunities for Service Enhancements and automaton during projects.
Essential Candidate Requirements * Third Level Degree/Diploma or Postgraduate Qualification in Computer Science, IT or other area relevant to working as an Infrastructure Architect * Architectural certification such as TOGAF or Cobit would be strongly advantageous, though relevant industry experience may suffice * 10 years enterprise IT experience, at least 5 of which should have been spent as an architect or in an Architecture based role * Experience working with and managing IT Managed Services providers and vendors to ensure delivery of solutions /services; * Strong track record in the design and build of underlying/core infrastructure solutions at enterprise level * Broad understanding of infrastructure related technologies technologies such as servers, load balancers, firewalls, storage configurations, networks and datacentres * Experience with Microsoft Applications and the underlying infrastructure designs required, e.g.
SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
* Previous experience working in a banking or financial services environment - Experience with a large Scale public sector organisation in Ireland, the UK or wider EU would also be most beneficial.
* Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
