AXA Ireland are recruiting for a new Commercial Lines Portfolio Manager.
Reporting into the Head of Portfolio Management, you will lead the portfolio management activities for our commercial lines of business. We are looking for a talented individual who can drive the development and delivery of a suitable portfolio strategy, lead financial performance management, and lead engagement with distribution and other internal teams to ensure optimal pricing and underwriting performance.

What you’ll be doing:
·Lead and develop a small team and influence wider department as part of leadership team. Foster talent development, set annual objectives, conduct performance reviews, identify skills gaps, and implement succession planning within the Pricing and Underwriting Department.
·Ensure pricing and underwriting activities align with financial and customer outcome objectives.
·Oversee exposure management and ensure compliance with UK and Group requirements.
·Engage with Finance and business unit teams on financial plans and influence the general insurance environment.
·Lead reviews of defined and dynamic portfolios, update Executives on emerging risks, and lead cross-functional projects.
·Monitor business performance against KPIs, track sales and retention trends, and support portfolio management processes.
·Develop sophisticated portfolio management tools and collaborate on revenue maximization proposals.
·Collaborate with stakeholders to develop proposals maximizing revenue and shaping the AXA portfolio for optimal exposure.
·Adhere to conduct standards as outlined under CBI regulations.
Your Profile
·At least 10 years of experience in a large general insurance company, including expertise in risk acceptance and rating & In depth understanding of business and underwriting performance metrics.
·Suitable business degree (or equivalent qualification), CIP qualification with ACII, MDI desirable
·Commitment to continued professional development to keep up to date with developments in general insurance and the Irish market.
·Extensive experience in leading and managing teams,
·Proven track record in Underwriting Management within AXA Ireland or other general insurers.
·Solid background in General Insurance with a good understanding of best corporate practices.
·Proficient in report writing and delivering engaging presentations.
·Demonstrated success in delivering impactful projects.
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
·Demonstrated high level of commitment through hard work and achieving key objectives.
