Painting Professional Sought for Dynamic Construction Project
A skilled painter is needed to join our team in Cavan for an exciting project.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Measure and assess work areas to estimate time and materials required.
* Prepare surrounding spaces by covering fixtures and furniture to prevent damage.
* Prepare painting surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, and washing walls.
* Mix and match paints and colors to achieve the desired texture and look.
* Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes, hang wallpapers, and install decorative products.
* Collaborate with construction professionals like carpenters, electricians, and plumbers as needed.
* Read blueprints and examine surfaces to determine necessary work.
* Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding and covering fixtures.
* Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience as a painter.
* In-depth knowledge of painting materials and techniques.
* Familiarity with commercial and construction painting methods.
* Proficiency in using painting tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.).
* Basic math skills.
