Job Description
Based out of our permanent facility in Co. Carlow (Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd), the Manufacturing & Assembly Manager will be responsible for the production output across the facility. Responsibilities will include health and safety, quality, scheduling, digitalisation and materials delivery, to ensure the production schedule is met to the required standards.
The successful candidate must have a strong offsite and construction background.
Skills and Requirements
1. Ensure weekly and daily work plans are completed and targets are met and exceeded where possible.
2. Close contact with facility personnel to ensure access, information and materials are available for productivity.
3. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the facility labour force and specialist subcontractors.
4. Determine manufacturing project schedule needs, provide support in project completion, and report on site progress.
5. Conduct regular safety and quality walks of the Manufacturing Facility and endorse best practices.
6. Lead Mechanical & Electrical fabrication, assembly and commissioning activities ensuring timely completion.
7. Experience in Project Management Systems.
8. Excellent delegation and organisational skills.
9. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
11. Excellent IT skills required – MS Office/Excel.
12. Trade background with supervision experience essential.
13. Experience as a Construction Manager essential.
