Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
The Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow will complete a period of intensive, supervised instruction in the subspecialty of maternal fetal medicine, leading to approval by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as a specialist in this field.
Duties:
* Undertake clinical duties in maternal medicine and fetal medicine, directed by the Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the Master of the Rotunda Hospital.
* Conduct publishable research within the research facility at the RCSI Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Rotunda Hospital.
* Perform administrative duties as requested.
* Participate in on call commitments at the Rotunda Hospital and other hospitals as required.
Person Specification:
* Possess MB, BCh, BAO and MRCOG or equivalent qualifications.
* Completion of USMLE examinations or clearly documented timeline for future completion.
* Previous experience in teaching and assessing students in an academic environment is desirable.
* Previous experience in research, evidenced by at least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal, is desirable.
Appointment and Application Process:
This is a temporary post for one year in the first instance with the opportunity for a further one or two years. The second year of this Fellowship is expected to be at a United States academic medical centre. A third year may be required if needed to complete a postgraduate degree such as MD or PhD.

* Police Clearance (if residing outside of Ireland for periods of 6 months or more).
