Role Purpose:
* A vacancy has arisen for the role of a Maintenance Planning Engineer at our client’s busy pharmaceutical site in Co. Kildare.
* This role demands flexibility and cross-functional liaison and co-operation.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure strict adherence to site policies/procedures, cGMP, and environmental, health and safety regulations.
* Facilitate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.
* Execute responsibilities in line with Right First-Time principles.
* Ensure that all planned maintenance is completed within the allotted time; however, if this is not possible, ensure that the necessary deviation paperwork is submitted justifying any extension.
* Drive complex defect elimination.
* Work with the production scheduler to implement routine and non-routine plant maintenance program, measure adherence to schedule & implement corrective measures where required.
* Conduct root cause analysis for elimination of repeat performance issues/occurrences.
* Participate in decision-making in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Plant Engineer on the continuous development & improvement of the site preventative maintenance program to meet the changing needs of the site.
* Participate in and drive safety initiatives onsite.
* Support quality investigations as required.
* Work with the Equipment Engineering team and Reliability Engineer to integrate new processes & equipment into the existing maintenance system, complete with equipment definitions, task lists, maintenance plans, spares & equipment BOMs.
* Work closely with the Shift Engineer and maintenance team to resolve equipment breakdowns, assisting them in sourcing spares, drawings, etc. needed to resolve issues.
* Analyse information from the CMMS system to interrogate the data for better understanding of how technician resources are being deployed and where improvements might be made.
Education & Qualifications Required:
* Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline with relevant pharmaceutical experience or suitable equivalence due to length of service and level of experience when working within the Pharmaceuticals/Food industry.
* Proficient in technical problem-solving.
* Experience in solid dose/packaging desirable.
* Direct maintenance planning experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
* Strong ownership and accountability.
* Highly collaborative working and good interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of CMMS systems.
