NOTE:
This role will suit an older candidate who is beginning their apprenticeship program.
Must hold full driver licence and have their own vehicle so they can travel to meet other team members daily.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an electrical apprentice.
You will be trained in all aspects of solar PV, Battery storage, and Electric Vehicle Charger installations, working alongside qualified electricians.
You will be part of a fantastic team and will play a key role in each installation project.

QualificationsThe main requirement is that you must embark on Electrical Apprentice training for the National Electrical Craft Certificate.
Your ResponsibilitiesYou will be working alongside our teams of electricians, learning about solar PV theory and practical knowledge.
You will gain experience in Solar PV Electrical Equipment installations which include but are not limited to Inverters, Battery Storage Systems, Fireman Switches, Isolators, EV-Charger Points, CT Clamps etc.
Running tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation.
Liaising with the roofing team to schedule times of installation, cable management etc.
Inspecting electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.
Communicate with the homeowner, giving demonstrations on the operation of the system etc.
Capture and record all the necessary imagery/documentation and submit to the administration team for grant processing.
Adhering to the SEAI Domestic Solar photovoltaic code of practice for installers.
Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
Deliver excellence to our customers by communicating with end customers through all stages of installation.
Communicate with the team and admin on projects.
Requirements & Nice to HavesFull Driving Licence and your own transport (required).Ideally, you would need to be able to meet the team member that will be travelling from Galway city.
So, either you live in that vicinity, or you are in a position to drive to meet them.
Safe Pass (preferred).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working on roofs.
Health & Safety Focused.
You must be dependable, flexible and take pride in your work.
Hours and LocationLocation:
You will be part of a team, carrying out installations primarily in the west of the country.
Full-time role.
Monday to Friday (Flexitime) - 39 hours.
