Management Accountant
An exceptional opportunity for a skilled Management Accountant to join our financial team in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, Ireland, this role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial recording and reporting, maintaining compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and delivering actionable financial and accounting insights.
About the Role:
* Assist in month-end and year-end processes, including preparing and posting journals (e.g., accruals, prepayments).
* Complete reconciliations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
* Support the preparation of monthly reporting packs, including variance analysis and insightful commentaries.
* Assist with the annual internal and external audit by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
* Ensure timely completion of regulatory filings and compliance with reporting standards.
Responsibilities:
* Review and perform bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
* Prepare and submit tax returns (e.g., RCT, VAT, CE, VIES, Intrastat) in compliance with regulations.
* Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking, recording, and depreciation.
* Monitor and control operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
* Undertake various financial reporting, accounting assignments, and special projects as required.
Requirements:
* ACCA Part-Qualified or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial and management accounting, preferably within a global organization in the energy management or related industry.
* Strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, D365) and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
