Head of IT Operations
Fexco Drive Technology is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Head of IT Operations to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work from offices in Killorglin, Co. Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities
* Providing implementation/planning/ leadership and subject matter expertise in areas including IT applications, infrastructure, telephony, networking, cloud computing etc.
* Management of operational & technical projects ensuring they are of the highest quality and delivered on time and within budget.
* Long-term planning, including cloud migration strategy and feature adoption.
* IT infrastructure purchasing decisions and operational budget allocation.
* Accurate monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting of network connectivity and service availability.
* Promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, quality and accountability.
* Identifying and recommending new technologies that will further benefit systems and network operations.
* Promoting Infrastructure as code (IAC), to manage configurations and automate provisioning of infrastructure and the configuration of servers.
* Driving the adoption and integration of AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making processes, and support strategic business objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in leading a technology team, including employee development/management.
* Passionate about technology and providing high-level customer service, with an eagerness to learn new techniques and technologies, and a positive can-do attitude.
* Proven experience in leading operations and technical implementation projects.
* Proficient in the evolution from on-premises to cloud environments, with the ability to discern the appropriate use cases for each, and experienced in working with public cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP.
* Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (e.g. Physical & Virtual Machines, SANs, Networking, etc.).
* Commitment to the continuous improvement of IT operations/infrastructure/services.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time, with accuracy.
* Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
* LEAN, Agile, and ITSM knowledge is preferred.
