Job Responsibilities
* Conduct medical device product testing according to product test requests, including R&D/NPI testing for new product development, design verification testing, process validation testing, and testing to support production queries and investigations.
* Set up and maintain test method equipment, such as tensile testers, measurement equipment, anatomical models, and others.
* Record and track test results.
* Assist in developing and validating test methods, including Gage R&R.
* Write new test method procedures and update existing ones as needed, following the Engineering Change order process (CR's).
* Sources and orders lab supplies as necessary.
* Investigate field complaints.
Required Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
* Strong report and technical writing skills.
* Good technical aptitude and hands-on work capability.
* Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Familiarity with statistical techniques, such as Gage R&R and equivalency testing, including Minitab use is an advantage.
* Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is beneficial.
* Good communication skills are essential.
Education Requirements
* Engineering or Science degree or relevant experience in a similar medical devices role.
