Alter Domus is seeking a Security Operations Manager to join its Group Information Security team. This position will be a vital leader responsible for designing and implementing standard operating procedures for threat remediation with the support of our third-party SOC monitoring. As the team leader, the applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a framework for incident triage, incident response, security monitoring & reporting, and supporting security projects in collaboration with other internal teams and vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the security team’s daily operations including task management, escalations, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.
* Manage timely responses to security incidents and requests.
* Develop and document standard operating procedures for common tasks.
* Establish and oversee security incident response procedures.
* Implement and manage security monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
* Enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s assets and data.
* Assist with assurance inspections & governance tasks performed by the Information Security team.
* Work directly with Managed Service Providers to document escalation and remediation procedures as well as regularly monitor Service Level Agreements.
* Evaluate security tools such as antimalware, EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, and PAM solutions and oversee their implementation and maintenance.
* Oversee the training of Security Analysts and Officers.
* Develop operational KPI reports used to drive more effective processes.
* Provide regular updates and reports to management.
QUALIFICATIONS
* 5-8 years of experience in the security industry.
* 2 years of managing a team focused on detecting, troubleshooting, and mitigating threats.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience with crisis or incident management.
* Strong understanding of IT processes and controls such as access management, change management, and IT operations.
