Assistant Manager – Ashbourne
Our client is a leading retailer specialising in DIY, homeware, and seasonal products with a commitment to providing quality products and exceptional customer service. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join their high-volume store in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
As Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the store. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach to leadership, as you will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, manage the team, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assist in recruiting, training, and managing a team of retail associates
2. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
3. Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service
4. Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve and exceed sales targets
5. Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
6. Implement measures to enhance the overall shopping experience for customers
7. Monitor KPIs and work with the team to achieve goals
8. Analyse sales data and reports to identify areas for improvement
Skills and experience required:
9. Previous retail management experience in a fast-paced and high-volume store
10. Strong leadership and communication skills
11. Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets
12. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
