Your key responsibilities
• Define payments architecture and designing payment end to end system with focus on real time and batch payments
• Design high-level payment solutions integrating modern and emerging fintech technologies with traditional banking systems for robust, seamless payment operations.
• Interact with architecture groups and forums to present, discuss, and validate the proposed payments architecture.
• Lead the creation and implementation of scalable and secure payment experiences that effortlessly blend legacy and advanced systems to increase customer engagement.
• Ensure the solutions are strictly compliant with regulatory standards and payment security protocols.
• Navigate the evaluation, selection, and implementation of fintech innovations, particularly in the payments space, ensuring competitive nature in the evolving payments landscape.
• Supervise the comprehensive technological process, making sure the payments transformation aligns with the client’s vision, architectural principles, patterns, and standards.
• Develop and oversee creation of detailed payment architecture plans and designs for complex projects, analysing potential benefits, risks, and long-term impacts.
• Lead regular reviews and updates of the payments strategy, aligning the solutions architecture with evolving business needs, industry trends, and payment technologies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, both internal and external, enabling efficient communication to align strategies, gain necessary approvals, and create shared commitment.
• Proactively manage risks and issues that may impact the payments solution architecture, implementing mitigation plans and managing stakeholder expectations accurately

To qualify for the role, you must:
• Possess 10+ years’ of significant leadership and management experience in solution design, architecture and payments, with a track record of managing complex projects within the financial services industry.
• Hold a post-graduate degree in IT, business or a field directly related to finance, along with industry-recognized architecture certifications.
• Have end-to-end technical expertise in payment systems integration, data management, and security infrastructure ensuring secure, efficient, and robust payment solutions.
• Carry a diverse portfolio showcasing experience in implementing market-leading payment products, systems, and platforms.
• Prove experience in conceptualizing Payments Architecture Strategy and Solution Design, especially focusing on elements of API-oriented architecture, Cloud services, and fintech integrations.
• Hold comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard security protocols such as Open ID Connect, OAuth2, SAML, JWT JOSE, JWKS, emphasizing their application in secure and reliable payment processing.
• Demonstrate a profound understanding of Market leading Payments Products, with a specific emphasis on Detailed Solution Design, including Service Blueprinting for payment solutions.
• Exhibit expertise in Programme Management and Delivery, primarily in designing and implementing effective Operating Models for payment systems and solutions.
• Showcase outstanding leadership and negotiation skills, with a proven capability to engage with and influence high-level stakeholders in the payments space, both internally and externally.
• Have a track record of leading teams, preferably in a diverse and fast-paced environment, with the ability to inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team focused on payment solutions.
• Provide evidence of managing complex relationships, setting strategic direction in the payments domain, and delivering results in a competitive and rapidly evolving financial services industry.
