Project Manager – Biopharmaceutical Development

Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead biopharma development programs from process transfer through to project completion and manufacturing handover. This includes managing timelines, resources, budgets, and client relationships to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
* Lead planning and execution of complex drug development projects.
* Manage timelines, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
* Use project platforms for tracking and reporting.
Client Engagement
* Serve as primary contact for clients, ensuring consistent communication.
* Manage expectations and address concerns proactively.
* Ensure client satisfaction through milestone delivery and transparency.
Cross-functional Coordination
* Lead multidisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, QA, and manufacturing.
* Align team members to project objectives.
* Facilitate collaboration and maintain high team performance.
Budget Oversight
* Track project budgets and control expenditures.
* Collaborate with finance to provide estimates and financial reports.
* Communicate variances and financial risks to stakeholders.
* Identify and mitigate risks to timelines, quality, or scope.
* Resolve challenges promptly and escalate as needed.
* Implement corrective actions to ensure delivery.
* Support development of new service offerings and internal best practices.
* Collaborate with teams to enhance project execution and client experience.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years’ industry experience in technical or project management roles.
* Familiarity with GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Strong analytical and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
