Site Quality Manager
Role Overview:
Element Six would like to recruit for the position of Quality Manager. The successful candidate will lead the Quality Team in Shannon, reporting to the site General Manager. The Quality Manager will be responsible for all activities required to maintain quality standards as set out by the business as well as ensuring all contractual and Company quality obligations are met and the highest of standards are maintained.
The Quality Manager will also provide direction, coordination, and the tools needed to achieve and maintain the site Quality Management System and enable the achievement of quality objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Management:
* Establish and communicate measurable quality objectives aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
* Develop quality plans to meet both internal standards and specific customer requirements for each product or process.
Customer Focus and Feedback:
* Act as the primary point of contact for customer interaction regarding quality issues, ensuring timely and effective communication.
* Manage and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Integrate customer feedback into quality processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous quality initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with customers to understand their evolving needs and translate them into actionable quality improvements.
Quality Control and Assurance:
* Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to ensure they remain within set parameters and conform to both internal and customer-specific quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, and customer-driven requirements.
Documentation and Records Management:
* Maintain up-to-date records, including quality manuals, procedures, inspection records, and corrective actions, ensuring transparency for customers.
* Prepare for internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and coordinating with customers when necessary to address quality control concerns.
* Collaborate with Production to ensure all relevant training documentation is updated, completed, and filed in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Science, Quality, or Engineering (Level 8 preferred).
* 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
* Proven expertise in Quality Engineering, Assurance, and Systems.
* Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma processes.
* Experience managing audits/inspections and acting as a quality site lead.
* Track record of leading cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent customer interaction and communication skills, advocating for Element Six.
* Proven ability to manage complex, critical quality issues with a structured approach.
