Day Shift Monday to Friday
As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery at our client’s site. You will use an Asset Management System (Maximo) to carry out routine maintenance and repairs within and outside our facility.
Your role is vital to the efficiency, development, and progress of the manufacturing site. Working with other professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.
Requirements:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform all the maintenance repairs, rebuilds, etc. on the machines and infrastructure.
2. Maintain all the equipment and machinery in the manufacturing facility.
3. Conduct regular checks for the maintenance of the machines and repair parts that need to be replaced.
4. Attend calls for repair.
5. Keep maintenance reports and make records for all repair work conducted on the machinery.
6. Develop the existing machinery to work efficiently.
7. Carefully maintain inventory for the tools and place orders for new ones when required.
Educational Qualification:
1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Trade qualified fitter recognized.
2. Experience in the field expanding up to at least four years within maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
3. Knowledge of Maximo – Asset Management system or equivalent would be an advantage. This is not a requirement as full training will be available on site.
