Our client, a world leader in the service industry for MedTech and Pharmaceutical organizations are looking to hire an Area Manager for their Cleaning division. This position will be looking after teams in multiple locations but 50% of the team is in one specific client. Job Description: Area Manager Location: Galway HQ, travel to various clients in the west of Ireland Experience Required: 2 3 Years Reporting To: Senior Operations Manager Manage Site Operations: Ensure the required work, standards and financial targets are achieved in areas of responsibility. Ensure high standards maintained on sites in line with customer requirements. Liaise with client representatives. Liaise with Industrial Manager and organise industrial teams as required. Plan and execute all periodic cleans. Promote quality client communications/partnership. Promptly deal with any client issues or complaints. Check that all quality related discrepancies are rectified. Attend client meetings, become actively involved in site procedures, suggest improvements and provide feedback to clients. Maintain positive staff morale. Administration and Budgets Work within specified budgets. Ensure any special orders of all work onsite is carried out and quoted for before starting any additional work outside of contract. Ensure that supervisors complete timesheets, special orders and site expenditure in a timely manner. Plan budgets and ensure targets are met. Plan preventative maintenance on all machinery/upkeep of asset register on site. Attend weekly operations meetings at SSE HQ in Galway. Health & Safety Ensure all current Health and Safety legislation is being adhered to by contract and other management. Participate in investigations into accidents to ensure the safety management system is effective. Keep the H&S officer up to date with any incidents/accidents. Carry out H&S training at induction or as required. Employees must ensure to carry out their tasks in compliance with the following legislation: o Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005.1 People Management Implement performance management systems onsite and conduct appraisals and reviews. Liaise with employees at all levels. Identify and monitor training requirements of supervisors and staff. Recruitment and selection of new employees. Liaise with staff re training requirements of supervisor and staff and implement training. Manage shift cover onsite to facilitate teams annual leave. Suitability for the role You must have experience as a cleaning supervisor. Must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires fluent English (both verbal and written). Strong people and resource management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Attention to detail is crucial. You must possess a hands-on practical attitude. Flexibility is compulsory. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Computer literacy required. Legal entitlements to work full time in Ireland required.
