Job Description
A Community Intervention Team (CIT) specialist is required for an agency line of work covering the Westmeath area.
This team provides a rapid and integrated response to patients with acute episodes of illness, requiring enhanced services or acute intervention for a defined short period.
The CIT's primary goal is to avoid hospital attendance or admission, or facilitate early discharge, by providing necessary care in a residential setting, at home, or in the community.
* RGNs are required to provide interventions as part of this team.
* Agency line of work is available for suitable candidates.
* Clinical duties include carrying out dressings and attending clinics in the Westmeath area, including Longford, Athlone, and Mullingar.
* These clinics will be held in the three main Primary Care Centres.
* Addition training may be provided if needed.
* An opportunity to develop IV antibiotic administration in the community exists.
* Urinary-related care and medication management are also key responsibilities.
* Patient care involving respiratory illnesses requires attention to detail and expertise.
* Recent acute experience is preferable, but not mandatory.
* 3-4 days of coverage are required.
* A full clean driver's license and own car are essential for travel within the role.
