About The Role
An exciting opportunity has opened up on the Davy Investment Team for an Associate Director, Portfolio Management. As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in the management of a broad range of multi-asset investment portfolios. Collaborating with professionals across the team, you will assist with all aspects of portfolio management including portfolio design, model management, risk oversight and also address investment-related queries from clients of Davy.
In The Role, The Successful Candidate Will
* Develop knowledge and expertise of markets, investment strategy, portfolio construction, models and underlying investments;
* Assist the Head of Multi Asset Solutions with research, analysis, bespoke portfolio design and ad-hoc requests from the business;
* Monitor and analyse investment performance;
* Monitor and assess risk, ensuring portfolio and positioning is in line with agreed parameters;
* Contribute to improvements in portfolio management processes, systems, and services;
* Take responsibility for coordinating and managing investment activities;
Requirements
About you
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
* Degree or Masters level qualification in economics, finance or related discipline;
* 2-4 years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, or a related role;
* Demonstrable knowledge of financial markets and investments;
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail;
* Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills;
* Understanding of the regulatory environment;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
* Strong systems skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
* Experience using research tools such as Bloomberg, Style Analytics, Factset etc. a plus;
* APA Savings and Investments and APA Pensions qualification or willing to work towards;
* Completed or working towards the CFA qualification preferred;
* Coding expertise preferable (Python / R / Matlab etc);
