Building Automation System Engineer- Dublin 15
Rate- €510 per day
The BAS Engineer works closely with other resources such as operations, HVAC engineers, Utility engineers, electrical team, projects team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting Building Automation System (BAS) (Siemens DesigoCC) and other Utility Automation Control systems.
2. Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines.
3. Ensuring that equipment works to its specification.
4. Creating and carrying out test procedures and automation change controls.
5. Liaising with installation/project engineers.
6. Supervising engineering, vendors and technical staff.
7. Writing reports and documentation.
8. Writing work instructions.
9. Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate.
10. Attend Software Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing.
11. Maintaining and developing change control systems.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related engineering field or its equivalent.
2. At least 5 years experience providing Building Automation / Building Management system solutions and support to manufacturing organisations in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry or similar is required.
3. Experience during project delivery and operations support.
4. Experience working with Air Handling Units (AHU) / HVAC and other critical utility systems such as cooling towers, compressors.
5. Experience with Siemens DesigoCC, Siemens Xworks.
6. The candidate will have demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels, coupled with excellent organisation and planning skills.
7. Experience of interfacing equipment with Siemens PXC controllers using modbus would be an advantage.
8. Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines. Good organising and planning skills.
9. Strong leadership and communication skills. Problem solver with a focus on achievement of overall project goals.
10. Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
11. Ability to anticipate, evaluate and resolve multiple, simultaneous project issues, delays and problems by utilising technical, project management, and business expertise.
12. Working knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle.
13. Experience of GDP Documentation practices.
