PE Global is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer for a leading multi-national pharmaceutical client based in Cork.
This is an initial 12-month contract position.
As part of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, this contract position is responsible for all activities required to support project scoping, commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up operations within the Cork site.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES:
1. Lead the delivery of Engineering projects on time, on budget & in accordance with all project & business Safety & Quality goals.
2. Scope new Engineering projects & secure Capital approval.
3. Lead, support and participate in commissioning and qualification activities for both current and future projects.
4. Update & influence management and project stakeholders.
5. Coordinate the participation of specialist trades and departments.
6. Coordinate project interfaces with other projects and departments.
7. Coordinate and interface with third parties (suppliers, customers, service providers, etc.).
8. Coordinate project documentation.
9. Cost Estimation (creation, tracking, updating, auditing vs actual Costs, forecasting).
10. Project Scheduling (creation, tracking, updating, review vs current state, forecasting).
11. Project progress reporting & Risk Management.
12. Conduct Constructability, Maintainability, and Operability studies.
13. Project Resource Management.
14. Check the current condition of systems (structural, E&I as well as safety, permitting, and documentation).
15. Organize & coordinate project meetings and appointments.
16. Provide project-related training as required.
17. Complete projects in accordance with Change Management Procedures.
18. Conduct retrospective project performance reviews vs project goals and lessons learned.
19. Participate in and lead Cross-Functional teams as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Third level qualification in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Science.
2. Experience delivering engineering projects within a GMP regulated environment.
