The Role:
The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the sustainability and innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored.
The Sustainability Policy and Reporting team are responsible for developing sustainability-related policies which will enable the realisation of sustainability commitments. This team also conduct monitoring, evaluation and reporting services against objectives outlined by the organisation internally and by external actors. The team guides the organisation’s sustainability policy direction and ensure consistency and clarity across internal functions as well as the tender development and evaluation process. The team will provide internal and external facing reporting and act as the ‘one stop shop’ for sustainability-related data.
In conjunction with the Sustainability Reporting Compliance Manager, The Sustainability Reporting Compliance Analyst is responsible for analysing and tracking compliance against the various standard, frameworks and regulatory obligations that do or may apply to Uisce Éireann. You will work closely across and support the sustainability reporting and policy team to build the required databases and data modelling applications which supports compliance standards. The role will specifically enable UÉ to proactively meet evolving sustainability reporting compliance and standards requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for collating, categorising and maintaining the UÉ sustainability reporting requirements database
Monitoring the sustainability reporting landscape to ensure emerging requirements are captured and added to the database
Investigate and document the details of current or future standards, frameworks and regulatory obligations requirements
Ensure the relevant teams are sufficiently and efficiently aware of current and or future requirements liaising directly with them where required.
Assist in the development of efficient and effective processes to support the UÉ Sustainability reporting compliance.
Assisting to bring together subject matter experts by sharing insight and learnings from peer or best practise sustainability reporting.
Assist in the creation of reporting and communications materials
Proactively represent the Sustainability reporting and policy team(s) at internal working groups, Communities of Practice, etc. gaining a thorough understanding of the work presented
General Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Responsible for carrying out any other duties which may reasonably be required to enable the delivery of new or exploratory carbon reporting initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business or Finance is desirable, and or relevant experience.
A minimum of 3 years’ Experience within a sustainability team and/or carbon accounting experience
Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internallyand externally
Experience in encouraging teamwork and knowledge-sharing to enhance team performance. Evidence of motivating colleagues to achieve shared goals and improve outcomes
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in data analysis and identifying data integrity issues proactively and with a solutions-oriented approach
Proven track record dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timelyfashion plus the ability to communicate this information to others
Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and withproven ability to deliver results within a team whilst upholding organisational values through decision making.
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line withbusiness strategy and requirements
Proven track record in identifying opportunities for areas of improvements and innovation to maintain high service standards.
Experience in taking ownership of safety responsibilities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
