Our client, The Land Development Agency (LDA), is a commercial, semi-State body that aims to maximize the supply of affordable homes on public and other land in a financially sustainable manner.
Supported by an independent board of directors and funded with €5 billion of equity capital committed by the Government, the LDA has commenced construction on multiple projects on State land and boasts a delivery pipeline exceeding 17,000 homes.
The Role
* You will work within the Strategic Planning Team, collaborating with development professionals across the Agency on various projects focusing on mapping, data analysis, and supporting the progression of the Register of Relevant Public Lands.
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, you will deliver geospatial applications, products, and services; manage data; and extend the use of GIS, driving evidence-based decision making.
* Collaborating with key data partners, including state bodies, government departments, and local authorities, you will integrate mapping components into existing reporting and web applications.
* Creating cartography and map representation, charts, and data for presentations across the agency, you will also test, debug, and performance-tune GIS applications and accounts.
* Developing documentation and procedures for GIS projects, you will utilize your expertise in ESRI Desktop suite and ArcGIS technology platform.
Person Specifications/Experience
* You must have at least two years of GIS Development experience and a relevant degree in GIS, geography, geomatics, geosurveying, planning, or similar, which included a significant element of GIS.
* A high level of IT literacy, evident experience with the ESRI Desktop suite, and a good understanding of the LDA's GIS technology platform are essential.
* You should be a team player with a strong track record of relationship building, drive, and a demonstrable ability to get things done.
* Knowledge and experience of relational database products, ESRI Datastores, and GIS solutions are desirable.
