Clinical Research Nurse Manager CNM1 (Clinical Trials Unit) Role in Radiation Oncology
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the clinical trials unit in our radiation oncology department, working Monday to Friday with flexibility considered for the right candidate. The contract duration is six months, and locations include Rathgar, Beaumont, and St James.
Key Duties:
* Screening potential trial patients by reviewing their medical history, histology, laboratory, and radiology reports.
* Participating in informed consent processes, educating patients about trial participation and serving as their primary contact.
* Providing education, support, and information to patients and their families.
* Maintaining trial-related logs, including screening, informed consent, patient ID records, and Investigator Site Files.
* Conducting trial measurements, such as toxicity assessments, and performing ongoing training of site staff, including consultants, registrars, radiation therapists, and nurses.
* Designing and completing patient packs, Case Report Forms (CRFs), and trial documentation.
* Ensuring good clinical practice (GCP) compliance and participating in GCP training.
Required Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years post-graduate experience.
* Experience working in the oncology setting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
* Versatility and ability to meet deadlines.
* Prior experience in coordinating clinical trials is advantageous but not essential.
