Overview
The Finance Manager (FM) will report to the Finance Director (FD) for Humanscale International Holdings Ltd (HIHL) and will support the FD on various company projects.
This role will be cross functional. The Financial Accounting team will report to the Finance Manager and the FM will also be responsible for providing key financial insights and commercial support to the FD and the wider business.
You will be directly responsible for the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial information relating to HIHL and associated companies. The aim being to drive continuous business improvements and to deliver relevant and insightful analysis in a timely and clear manner.
Essential Functions
1. Full responsibility for the financial control environment such as Month End, Year End and Annual audit.
2. Ensure the Financial Accounting team delivers on all core role responsibilities.
3. Balance sheet integrity supported by clear reconciliations.
4. Manage the audit engagement with the statutory auditors across the regions with timely completion of the annual audit engagement and corporation tax requirements.
5. Reconciliation of management accounts to statutory / financial accounts.
6. Reporting accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly reports.
7. Insightful analysis of all key variances that will help support the business and all key financial / business decisions in a timely manner making recommendations to improve sales or margins.
8. Enhance the monthly management reporting pack to support the commercial management and decision-making process.
9. Lead the yearly budgeting and forecasting processes from a cost perspective.
10. Leadership and focus on cost reduction opportunities and margin improvements in the business.
11. Be of a Global mindset and work to ensure best practices are shared and put into practice across the entire Humanscale finance remit.
12. Identification of any risk areas within the financial control department and suggest appropriate controls to mitigate same.
13. Support the wider finance team on general ledger queries and compliance to taxation and reporting regulations.
14. Act as a strong Finance Business Partner for other departments within the company and for senior management team – for example Manage and measure department P&Ls vs budget and vs Prior Year spend.
15. Assist with establishing new Humanscale entities across the world.
16. Work closely with both FD and Commercial Finance Manager to assess the impact on the business with appraisal of new commercial / investment opportunities and strategic projects.
17. Work with external accountants in reviewing transfer pricing rules.
18. Cashflow forecasting across all currencies held by the company.
19. As a people manager, ensure your team are engaged and develop to reach their potential while ensuring appropriate succession plans are in place.
20. Perform all necessary people management duties such as mid-year reviews and year-end appraisals.
21. Ad hoc projects, reporting and analysis as assigned.
Qualification
1. Preferred professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
2. 5 – 8 years experience with 3 of those years being post-qualified.
3. Attention to detail a must.
4. Strong planning and analytical skillset are a must in order to handle the wide scope and requirements of this role.
5. Excellent Team Management capabilities (prioritization, delegation, team performance management experience).
6. Infor knowledge is preferable.
