About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Scrum Master to join our client, a leading financial services company based in Waterford. In this role, you will work in an Agile environment, collaborating across multiple squads to deliver high-quality solutions while driving continuous improvement.
This is a hybrid working model position, with 2 days per week in the office. Our client is known for its great culture and offers a strong benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews, across multiple squads.
* Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and guide teams in task prioritization.
* Track progress on product roadmaps, reporting risks and milestones as necessary.
* Remove team impediments and facilitate resolution by engaging appropriate stakeholders.
* Build a safe and trusting environment where challenges are addressed without fear of blame or retribution.
* Foster a collaborative team dynamic, encouraging accountability and transparency.
* Coach team members on Agile principles and methodologies, helping to develop high-performing squads.
* Ensure alignment with Agile principles such as collaboration, prioritization, and visibility.
* Manage governance, reporting, and monitoring activities in line with the delivery framework.
* Act as a change agent, driving Agile adoption and greater organizational agility.
* Serve as a servant leader, mentoring less experienced team members and supporting squads in delivering value.
Requirements
* A minimum of 4 years experience as a Scrum Master.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent experience.
* Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
* Proven ability to facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex corporate structures.
* Familiarity with software development, preferably in the insurance sector or high-net-worth market.
* Experience with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum
