Senior Commercial Underwriter wanted for Leading Insurance Organisation-Dublin City
Abrivia are currently recruiting for an experienced Underwriter to join our client, a Leading Insurance Company, based in Dublin City Centre. This role will work across multi line business through both broker and client channels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background Commercial Underwriting and have exposure to managing a portfolio of client and broker accounts.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis with two days in the office and includes healthcare, pension, bonus, and numerous other benefits
Your Role:
1. Managing the Commercial portfolio for both direct and broker accounts.
2. Analysing policy performance for direct and broker clients, including pricing and coverage evaluations.
3. Ensuring compliance with file documentation standards, underwriting guidelines, and audit requirements.
4. Providing underwriting training and mentoring to team members.
5. Assisting in the day-to-day management of Property, Liability, and Commercial Combined portfolios, including adjustments and account management.
6. Underwriting and negotiating products for direct and broker clients.
7. Developing and maintaining client relationships to support business growth.
8. Arranging Insurance surveys according to underwriting procedures.
9. Maintaining Underwriting records in compliance with regulations.
10. Assisting with reinsurance maintenance and placement.
Your Skills:
11. Professional Qualification within Insurance
12. Previous experience in an Underwriting role with a focus on technical aspects is advantageous.
13. Possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and effectively communicate organisational objectives.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
15. Proficient in numeracy and analytics, capable of interpreting data and preparing reports.
16. Exposure to various industries and clientele.
17. Demonstrated capacity for independent underwriting decision-making.
18. Ability to influence decision-making processes.
