Job Title: EHS Specialist
Our client, an Engineering Services provider, is looking to recruit an EHS Specialist. They specialise in managing Commissioning, Construction Services, Calibration, Operations & Maintenance scopes of work within global manufacturing facilities.
The client operates globally across EMEA and North America partnering with the world's leading manufacturers across the Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical & Biologics, Medical Device and Data Centre sectors.
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining safety procedures, preparing risk assessments & method statements (RAMS), reviewing permits, reviewing vendor documentation, conducting training, and carrying out site inspections/audits and implementing corrective measures across client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a continuous improvement culture in relation to all health & safety and environmental work practices on client sites.
* Conduct weekly toolbox talks/ shared learnings.
* Conduct regular site audits/ inspections to ensure safety operating procedures are adhered to at all times including vendor health and safety documentation.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 & 45001 standards, client site requirements and legal requirements.
* Ensure safety statements and required Risk Assessments & Method statements (RAMS) are available on sites.
* Carry out accident, incident investigations and root cause analysis studies.
* Supervise and manage health & safety and environmental documentation to support the Company's integrated EHS management system.
* Deliver Health & Safety induction programme's and site specific training for personnel working on site.
* Represent at client site meetings when required for safety performance, safety projects and risk assessments reporting.
* Report monthly safety related scorecard to the Global EHS Manager (e.g.) Metrics Accident/ Incident, Training, Good Catch data.
* Company Van provided.
* Flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week.
* Occasional international travel.
* Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in Health and Safety, ideally in a construction or sustaining environment within the following industries: Pharmaceutical, Datacentre, Semiconductor.
* Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) would be an advantage.
* Experience in leading and carrying out Risk Assessments & Method statements.
* Experience in leading and carrying out EHS audits.
* Ability to deliver training modules to all levels of the organisation.
* Highly motivated with excellent attention to professional H&S standards.
* Ability to work in a team environment and can engage, motivate and work with people.
* Excellent organisational & communication skills along with an ability to deal with multiple stakeholders.
* Willing to travel occasionally to sites outside the Leinster region.
* Flexibility to work remotely two days per week.
* Qualification as a manual handling, abrasive wheels and working at heights instructor would be an advantage.
* Safe pass would be an advantage.
* Third level education in health & safety or related discipline is required.
