Leisure Club Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage the Leisure Club and Salon Department in the hotel adhering to the agreed standards and financial KPI’s set out. Ensuring all guests and members receive high standards of customer service and departmental profitability is achieved. Promotion and sales driving within your department.
Reporting to:
The Leisure Club Manager will report on a daily basis to the Hotel & Operations Manager, while liaising with the Hotel General Manager to ensure that agreed strategy is delivered across the various segments of the business.
The Person:
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record as a Leisure Club Manager or Senior position within the industry who can demonstrate ability to successfully manage and develop the Leisure Club Team while providing a consistent high-quality service to our guests.
MAIN DUTIES
* Ensure that the Department operates in a guest-focused manner; always striving to exceed guest expectations thereby building customer and brand loyalty.
* To be fully aware of the hotel facilities, activities, targets and promotions, special activities within the hotel.
* Deal with customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with company procedures.
* Must have previous experience in a similar role and demonstrated business/industry awareness.
* Manage all areas of operations within the Club/Salon Department to agreed profit levels ensuring standards of quality and service.
* Lead and manage the Leisure Club / Salon to ensure the member’s experience lives up to and exceeds expectations from the moment of initial contact and right through the term of their membership.
* Proactively manage all aspects of the members and guests experience while they are on the premises, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Develop and implement a culture of empowerment and individual responsibility to your staff.
* Plan and manage Human Resources to ensure that the Leisure Club / Salon always has appropriately trained and motivated staff.
* Ensure your team are open to, and participate fully in, product and service development and actively seek ways of improving the members' experience.
* Lead and manage the business development activity always seeking to grow membership and income through retention of existing members and recruitment of new members.
* Full responsibility for the financial outcome and management of your department.
* Manage the Departments commercial activities to ensure ‘top line’ gains are fully reflected in the ‘bottom line’ gains.
* Build sales through active up-selling and guest care in conjunction with the Hotel Sales and Marketing Manager.
* Plan, execute and review all operational activities to ensure that these are in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
* Communicate clearly to each staff member the expectations you have for your department through monthly meetings and team building.
* Ensure that the Leisure Club / Salon Cash and Credit Control Policies are fully implemented at the Club.
* Ensure a high level of hygiene is maintained throughout the Club and keep all work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
* Ensure that all membership enquiries are dealt with appropriately and that your team follows up on these.
* Manage the revenue stream of swimming lessons as a high revenue earner for the Club.
* Ensure all maintenance is kept on top of for your department and arrange for the maintenance of these to ensure all equipment is functional at all times.
* To assist in implementing company human resources policies.
* To communicate effectively at all levels, including attending management meetings.
* To manage, motivate and train employees within the department thereby ensuring a high standard of service/control in all areas.
* Report daily operating issues to Management.

* Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of management for the Leisure Club and Salon.
* Must be standards driven and detail oriented, with the desire to progress within the market.
* Must have the ability to lead, multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance.
* Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
