Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the caf operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service at all times.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
1. Previous experience in the hospitality sector (caf, restaurant, hotel) an advantage;
2. Barista experience is desirable but not essential;
3. Excellent communication skills;
4. Previous customer service experience is an advantage;
5. Passion for food, coffee and ability to inspire customers;
Main duties:
1. Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative;
2. Always ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority by greeting each customer as if it’s their first visit to the caf and consistently deliver an exceptional service;
3. Adhere to all standards required including the policies, procedures, instructions and guidelines set out for the caf;
4. Assist customers to improve their knowledge of our food and beverages;
5. Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store/caf policy;
6. Merchandise and present the caf to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant guidelines;
7. Ensure that all areas of the caf/your area are kept clean and tidy to the required food safety standards.
