Account Director - Commercial Lines
Reports to the Regional Manager (South).
Key relationships:
Internal: Regional Director, Regional Manager, Account Directors, Team Lead, Account Executives, Finance.
External: Clients, New Customers, Insurers, Credit Management.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Account Director to manage a portfolio of commercial clients and drive new business growth in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage client insurance needs, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims.
* Develop and convert new business opportunities by leveraging market trends and customer insights.
* Support Account Executives and contribute to team sales targets through proactive lead generation and deal closure.
* Build and maintain trusted client relationships through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, adhering to Central Bank's MCC & Fitness & Probity requirements.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience in commercial SME insurance, with a proven track record of success.
* CIP qualification (ACII desirable) or equivalent industry certification.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills, with a focus on relationship-building and customer satisfaction.
* A sales-driven mindset with a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and open to learning new technologies; experience with Open I is an advantage.
