PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To follow-up the Flight Crew rosters on a daily basis assuring that the Company’s flight programme is crewed according to aviation regulatory authorities flight time limitations and Company requirements for ASL Airlines Belgium (ASLB) flight crews.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. To be responsible for monitoring, on a weekly and daily basis, the crew rosters by:
* Ensuring that all flights are covered, implementing flight crew changes and additional flights (covering sicknesses, delays, etc.) and optimizing standby crews as per operational requirements;
* Ensuring that the crew flights duty times are compliant with the Flight Time Limitations rules defined by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (i.e., EASA rules mentioned in our OM Part A, Chapter 7) and the company legal requirements (cf. Company CLA).
1. To ensure close cooperation with the OCC Duty Managers in order to make the Company benefit from the most efficient and safe operational control at all times and ensure optimum usage of the Company’s resources.
2. To be responsible for keeping up to date knowledge of flight time limitations (EASA regulations).
3. To implement the updates defined in weekly flight planning (master done by the Scheduling Dept) to ensure that all flights, flight training, ground training, and standbys are planned.
4. To perform flight watch, update new ETD (Estimated Time of Departure), and monitor the Flight Time Limitations.
5. To keep the crew management system up-to-date to provide Flight Operations management with a clear view of the current situation at any time (to avoid any operational issues).
6. To update statistics for FRM (Fatigue Risk Management) purposes to the attention of the Flight Operations Department and the Fatigue Safety Aviation Group (FSAG); to ensure the implementation of the new recommendations made by FSAG.
7. To analyze and confirm charter requests/NATO flights and liaise with the Commercial Department to organize and coordinate planned charter activities.
8. To work in close cooperation with the Training department to optimize and implement line training requirements.
9. To be the back-up:
* To monitor loadmaster rosters to ensure loadmaster flight coverage.
* Of the Interline Department - liaise with Travelliance to organize hotel accommodation and transportation for crew/ground staff.
Communication
1. To create a relationship and communicate with other departments and subcontractors to ensure effective and efficient cooperation aiming to improve overall company performance.
2. To be the contact point for the Company’s Crew members and third-party operators to inform them of all changes concerning flight schedules, hotel accommodation, and transportation.
