Bushfield Nursing Home is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus with attention to detail.
2. Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service, ensuring smooth operations and timely dish preparation.
3. Ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, meeting the expectations of residents.
4. Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure that kitchen stock is controlled and maintained efficiently.
5. Enforce all food safety and HACCP regulations to maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment.
6. Assist with menu development, cost control, and maintaining profitability while delivering quality.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen environment.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively.
3. Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
4. Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
5. Strong communication and organisational skills.
6. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
7. Fluent English both oral and written.
8. Excellent HACCP & Hygiene.
Additional Information:
* Minimum 2 years experience required.
* Position subject to Garda vetting and valid work permit authorisation.
* 1 position available Full Time.
* Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.
* Pay: €16.00-€17.50 per hour.
* Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week.
