The Management Accountant is a member of the Glenmar Finance Team and is responsible for the compilation of accounts for the Co-op and supporting the COO in ensuring the provision of an efficient and timely accounting close process including reconciliation and reporting.
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, margin and variance analysis and explanation.
2. Compilation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
3. Cashflow Reporting, Credit Control, Inventory Control, Assisting with Departmental Budgets and Forecasts.
4. Weekly KPI Reporting.
5. Preparation of Statutory Returns - VAT, VIES, Intrastat, CSO etc.
6. Internal Audit, Compliance with Financial Control Policy.
7. External Audit - Lead compliance with External Audit and agree audit work plan with team.
8. Monitor and review Audit Reports.
9. Create and comply with Finance Policies, and support Procedure Improvements.
10. Support Financial Controller and Senior Team in their Roles and Responsibilities in achieving business targets – Profit Improvement, Overhead Cost Control.
Qualifications & Skills Requirement
1. Qualified Accountant with 5 years post qualification experience.
2. Strong Leadership, people management and organisation Skills.
3. Excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
4. A high level of flexibility with a high-level commitment to success.
5. Be commercially aware and enjoy interacting with cross functional teams across the organization.
6. The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint packages.
