Role Overview:
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our product line and services in the Door Automation and Fire-Rated Steel Window/Door market. We seek a dynamic, proactive individual with a passion for business growth and a strategic mindset. Capable of managing a sales team, ready to build and maintain client relationships, explore new market opportunities, and contribute to the long-term vision of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and market share in the Door Automation and Fire Rated Products sectors.
2. Identify new business opportunities and sales channels to expand market reach.
3. Set ambitious sales targets and ensure they are achieved or exceeded through proactive sales management.
4. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine strategies and maximize revenue opportunities.
5. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior leadership.
Team Management & Development:
1. Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team performance targets.
2. Set clear performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
3. Foster a high-performance culture focused on results, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
4. Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of the sales team to enhance capabilities.
Business Development & Customer Engagement:
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, architects, and stakeholders within the construction and commercial sectors.
2. Represent IDS at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
3. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that generate leads and support sales efforts.
4. Negotiate and secure high-value contracts and partnerships with key customers.
5. Work closely with internal teams including operations, finance, and production to ensure seamless execution of projects and customer satisfaction.
6. Monitor pricing strategies, margins, and profitability to optimize revenue streams and business growth.
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
8. Collaborate closely with your managerial peers to ensure sales staff remain fully aligned and carry out their duties within the disciplines of the company ERP and order processing systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential with relevant experience).
2. Min. of 5 years of experience in a senior sales or commercial management role.
3. Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is desirable.
4. Proficiency in CRM/ ERP software and sales management tools.
5. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ambitious and growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative.
7. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
