Position Summary
A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking to recruit a Manager for the Supply Chain Planning team.
The role will serve as a production planner, responsible for planning material and production-related activities, including commercial requirements, special projects, new products, and product changes in support of the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities
* Accountable for ensuring production schedule accuracy in the ERP system.
* Responsible for scheduling and releasing process orders in the ERP system.
* Coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) processes and materials are available for on-time production.
* Interface with all levels of the organization and collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, validation, quality assurance, and technical teams to optimize efficiency using data, systems, and interfaces.
* Responsible for strategic planning and inventory analysis.
* Support the introduction of new materials as necessary.
* Provide support to supply chain projects and manufacturing teams as needed.
* Coordinate with planners and buyers to execute the materials requirement process in support of the production plan.
* Work with finance, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to analyze material variances, adjust accordingly, and identify opportunities for improvement through operational excellence (OpEx) programs.
* Manage supply chain-related investigations and change controls, working with teams to identify issues, analyze data, and implement solutions.
Qualifications & Experience Competencies
* High proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Quality Management Systems. Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) is an advantage.
* Proactive, able to anticipate, plan ahead, and react quickly to new information, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to interface with various departments.
Qualifications
* BSc in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supply chain or manufacturing role, with experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
* Experience or knowledge in cGMP biologics manufacturing is preferred.
* Professional certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) is desirable.
