Job Description:
The Manufacturing Manager plays a crucial role in leading and managing manufacturing operations to meet the company's strategic objectives. This position requires strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
1. Operational Oversight: The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, productivity, and timely supply of liquids, creams, and powders.
2. Schedule Coordination: This role involves coordinating weekly schedules with Planning to ensure adherence to manufacturing instructions and GMP standards.
3. Batch Management: The Manufacturing Manager must manage batch paperwork, SOP approvals, and document reviews to maintain compliance and accuracy.
4. Process Efficiency: This position requires planning manpower, monitoring yields, and driving process efficiency to meet key performance indicators such as waste reduction and cost savings.
5. Procurement and Training: The Manufacturing Manager ensures timely procurement of consumables and effective training programs for staff.
6. Audit and Compliance: This role involves leading audits (GMP, EHS&S) and handling deviations, OOS/OOT investigations, and corrective actions.
7. Continuous Improvement: The Manufacturing Manager fosters a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing processes and implementing performance enhancements.
8. Document Approval: This position requires approving all master manufacturing documents, including validation protocols and SOPs.
9. Team Performance: The Manufacturing Manager manages and maximizes team and individual performance through leadership, facilitation, and employee development.
10. Training and Development: This role involves identifying training needs of operators, supervisors, and other staff members and ensuring training is carried out as required.
Requirements:
* 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in manufacturing or supply management.
* Third-level qualification in science, engineering, or manufacturing (post-graduate in management is a plus).
* Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record in performance improvement.
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP (EU) and experience with liquid filling operations preferred.
* Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a regulated environment.
