The successful candidate will be passionate about Digital Marketing and customer experience and have a natural ability to put themselves in the customers' shoes to ensure all digital communications are on brand and customer-centric.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Woodie's marketing department to drive the digital marketing strategy for the Woodie's business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maximise qualified traffic and footfall into Woodies 35 stores and Woodies.ie.
2. Channel ownership:
1. PPC (including shopping)
2. Organic and Paid Social – all platforms
3. Affiliate including content creators
4. Email
5. SEO
3. Manage and develop a high-performing digital marketing team.
4. Manage performance-based online marketing channels (Paid search, Paid Social, SEO, affiliate including content creators).
5. Develop a digital content strategy that drives engagement and community for the Woodie's brand including all organic social channels.
6. Develop, along with Brand Marketing, the strategy for Woodies organic social to drive community and engagement and be a market leader in organic social strategy.
7. Work collaboratively with the Shopper Marketing and Brand Marketing teams to ensure the digital content strategy operates as a third strand to deliver the overall communication objectives of the business.
8. Align the acquisition strategy with the wider business including Brand & Shopper marketing, PR, buying digital commerce, and CRM.
9. Work with CRM and other key stakeholders to drive the commercial email plan to support business trade and drive retention.
10. Maximise customer acquisition and manage the cost of acquiring new customers to Woodies.
11. Manage ROAS to maximise digital marketing spend.
12. Manage relationships with external agencies and freelance support where necessary.
13. Build and maintain relationships with key acquisition enablers including Google, Facebook, TikTok, and other social channels, while constantly seeking new innovative relationships that may benefit the business.
14. Develop an overall SEO & content marketing strategy.
15. Drive an overall acquisition strategy for new customers, and drive retention and repeat purchases from existing customers.
16. Seek and drive new innovative techniques including new channels or activity within existing channels that will support the business objectives.
17. Drive the business strategy for the affiliate channel including new partnership opportunities alongside management and strategy around collaborations with content creators that will drive business KPIs.
18. Work with our third-party agency to analyse and drive reporting on paid online marketing activity – customer & sales impacts & ROI and optimise budgets & activity by channel accordingly.
19. Accountable for the budget management of the digital marketing budget including cadence, phasing, and performance of that budget.
20. Responsible for the management of CAC, CPO and return on investment for all performance marketing spend and developing strategies to support this.
The ideal candidate:
1. BA or BSc (Digital Marketing or Marketing courses preferred).
2. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
3. Ability to multitask and ensure flawless execution.
4. Passionate about online retail & online marketing.
5. Excellent attention to detail.
6. A team player with the collaboration skills necessary to support an important national brand through digital touchpoints.
7. Significant experience & interest in SEM (Paid and SEO) 3-5 years.
8. Strong understanding of community building and new social channel development.
9. Strong background in managing, developing, and mentoring a team.
10. Experience with web analytics packages & management.
11. Agency management experience.
12. Experience working within an online retail team.
